Neem Keroli Babu and Hanuman Chalisa Prayer
Bhakti devotional to Neem Keroli Babu a Hanuman devotee.
see; Hanuman Chalisa , Krishna Dass, www.maharaji.com,
In the 80's I first came across Ram Dass at a Down to Earth festival in New Zealand. He was charismatic and a n imposing figure.
Later in the ninties I read his book One track Heart whilst in Rishikesh. There I realized the magic of his Guru Neem Keroli Babu.
My teacher Virsah Singh gave the instruction to read the Hanuman Chalisa in the meditation fire area or Havan. I felt it was to allow us to find courage in an changing world with many challenges. I think it was said that Baba related that the Chalisa would provide strength to such a task.
It was in 1991 that I found my Guru Baba Virsah Singh.
There has been a lot written on Gurus since the Beatles met Maharishi in Rishikesh.
Later in the 90's I visited the Hanuman temple near Mehrauli village Delhi and also in the Hillside town of Shimla.
All I can say is if you meet a true Guru you will never be the same after that point. It is a spiritual implosion. No words go near to explaining half of what it does to you and your life.
Just embrace the journey until you come home to love.
